Hi, I’m Victor H. Mena Pio

I was born in Mexico City and settled in San Francisco and the Bay Area in 1999. I later traveled through Europe, which opened my mind and heart to different perspectives, shapes, colors, and forms. One of my greatest passions is to capture the facets of life in the Bay Area in all their diversity and depth.

My Approach

To me, photography is much like the amazing and complex process of evolution. In each situation I encounter, I see life as uniquely emerging from how the natural setting and the people who inhabit it interact. As a trained observer, my job is adapting to each moment and capturing the beauty unfolding before my eyes. I strive to make every photo better than the last. And the more I interact with a subject, the more completely will I capture their essence in frame.
